*Once upon a time, there was a Panditaya who was extremely wise and received the respects and was revered by all meanwhile the King of the country received a little or no respect from all due to his foolish conduct. The King was jealous and wanted to destroy Panditaya.*

*One day, the King ordered Panditaya to teach the horse which he was very proud. If he couldn’t do, his head would be cut off. The King allowed Panditaya to consider this matter in one week after that he had to tell him the result. After Panditaya got back home, his grown up beautiful daughter advised him to explain that it would be a very difficult work, and would occupy a long time ; and that he should require seven years for it, and must have the horse by him all the time, and use it, while the King would provide food for it. He took the advice from his daughter and told the King like that. The King really wanted his horse to be able to speak so he agreed. Before the seven years elapsed the King had died, and the horse remained with Panditaya.*
