*The Happy Prince*
*Oscar Wilde - Summarized by Jane*
*There was a prince statue in a city which was called Happy Prince. Everyday, the statute saw the desperate people around him. He wished to help them. Persuading a little bird called little Swallow to help, the statute and the small bird helped a very sick little boy whose mother was very poor with the great ruby from the Prince’s sword and a man who tried to finish a play but had to bear a severe coldness of the weather, couldn’t write any words with the sapphires from the Prince’s one eye. Then they helped a very poor little match girl whose father would beat her if she didn’t bring any money back to him with the sapphires from the Prince’s another eye. Finally they helped the other desperate poor people with the Prince’s gold leaves. After that the little bird died due to not flying to the warm place in the cold winter at the right time and the Prince statue was melted then replaced by another statue due to his dull, grey appearance which was considered having no value. The prince heart and the little bird were taken cared of by God in his garden of Paradise and City of Gold.*
