*There were two brothers who didn’t agree with each other who knew more than another. Finally, the younger brother and his wife left the town. They arrived in other town with two or three huts owned by a husband and a wife. The husband agreed to let them live in their town. At the fifth day, the man told the younger brother to take their wives to a certain place and came to other place to dig a large hole then covered it by dried sticks and leaves. To avoid quarrels, the man asked the younger brother which he would have the males or females. The younger brother chose males. The next day, they caught a male ox. The following days were a male antelope, a male chimbimbi, and a male hog. All belonged to the younger brother but he didn’t share them with the owner of the town.*
*To preserve the meat of these animals the younger brother told his wife to go to the woods to gather sticks to smoke the meat. At night, the wife didn’t come back. The younger brother was very worried and asked the owner together to find his wife. The owner refused and told to do that next day because it was too dark. Next day, they found the wife in the trap. The owner told the younger brother she was his. The younger brother quarreled with the owner. The elder brother was hunting nearby and met his brother and the owner. The owner told the elder brother everything and asked his judgement. The elder brother told him to enter the pit to kill the wife because she was his. The younger brother tried to prevent. The elder brother told him "can you not yet trust your brother's superior wisdom? See, now, that male in your trap; he is yours by agreement, even as your wife is his. Spare his life, and perhaps he will give you back your wife." The man realized he had been fooled and released the woman. Then the two brothers and his wife returned to their town.*
