*Folklore from Brunei: The mighty Babau*

*Once upon the time, the villagers of Kampong Serai was afraid of a tiger which roamed the village nearly everynight. The villagers wanted to catch it. To catch the tiger they used a buffalo named Babau which was treated badly. After a working day, they badly sang about the buffalo. The buffalo knew their plan, it was very sad but it was helpless. The villagers brought the buffalo to a place to attract the tiger. The buffalo knew the tiger liked fresh meat, it pretended to be dead. The tiger saw a dead buffalo, it walked away. The Buffalo used his horns to cause injuries to the tiger. The tiger was scared, ran away and never came back. The villagers realized how badly they had treated the buffalo and how good the buffalo was. Since that they treated it better.*
